' VESSEL ' SOLO EXHIBITION

VESSEL’ is Fred kings second solo exhibition, that explores mediums of sculpture and performance. ‘VESSEL’ explores the idea of the body as a temple for expression . Observing the body and blood as a form of physical identification and creative purpose.

This work spans over 2 years of work that stemmed from a series of uncontrollable noise bleeds I experienced during a creative period block. Through these uncontrollable nose bleeds, I was able to incorporate physical blood into some of the elements of the pieces . Which later manifested itself into the concept of ‘VESSEL’. Being able to be creatively free in oneself. This exhibition took place in PHOENIX ART SPACE BRIGHTON (5TH - 9TH AUGUST 2026).

Within this performance, the conceptual character of the THE RAVAGE decends into a sacred rite, in hope for a purer and more feral form. Guided by a ritual that's decayed and been warped through its generations. THE RAVAGE invokes forgotten Gods, offering its body as a VESSEL for a rebirth of lust and dominance.Evoking its body for possession of the spirits, by feasting on blood of the pure and wearing the VESSELS ancient ruins as armour. Forever marked by the Gods that answered its calling.

A series of four canvases produced within a Ravage performance session titled 'REDBLADE'. In this session I exercised ideas of creative impulse and creative intuition under the blind mask of ''THE RAVAGE' (MORE INFO ON RAVAGE PAGE 3) In the performance I used two tools, a knife and red paint.
